Callaway County is in located Central Missouri. It was named for James Callaway, grandson of Daniel Boone.
The seat and largest city are both Fulton. It has its southern border made up by the Missouri River.
Callaway County borders Audrain, Montgomery, Osage, Cole, Boone and Gasconade Counties.
Main highways through the county include I-70, US-40, US-54, US-63, MO-94.
